However, if you are applying for 'Free School Meals & Clothing Grant', you must apply to the council where the school is situated.

To use the Citizen Portal you will first need to register.

If you previously had an account on the Cumbria County Council Citizen Portal you will still be able to login using the email address you registered with.

Once registered you will be able to apply online for:

Free School Meals & Clothing Grant

If your child is already receiving a clothing grant and free school meals, you do not need to re-apply
A clothing grant will be issued to you mid-July for the next school year. It is your responsibility to inform us if your address changes to ensure the clothing grant is delivered to the correct address. You must apply to the council where the school is situated.

Funded Early Education for Two Year Olds

If your child is already receiving two year old funding, you do not need to re-apply.

Home to School Transport

If your child is already receiving transport or you have already applied for transport, you do not need to re-apply. However, if you are moving address or school you will need to make a new application.

School Admissions

If you do not live in Cumberland Council area, you MUST submit your application through your current home Local Authority. If you do not, your application cannot be considered.
